"Local Furniture Porn: Pirwi," Austin Eavesdropper, 6/11/09: "Everything Pirwi designs is eco-friendly, but also pretty affordable - which probably can't be said of every lofty-minded green design line (in fact quite few I imagine). It was founded by Emiliano Godoy and Alejandro Castro, the latter of whom has worked with uber-photographer Mario Testino."

"A Taste of Tyson Cole's Canteen at Kirk," Austin360.com, 12/05/08: "'It’s my food, but Spanish,' Tyson Cole explained about his project for the W Hotel and Residences. The star chef, who put his own twirl on Japanese cuisine at Uchi, is already cooking on the Iberian ingredients and influences for Canteen, which won’t open for at least a year, despite around-the-clock construction at the W site just north of Austin City Hall. Cole introduced spoonfuls of ceviche, gazpacho and other delectibles at a Kirk Gallery gathering for W condo-owners and a sprinkling influencers like Austin Monthly Home editor Helen Thompson."
Apartment Therapy commentary on Kirk's Tres Tintas wallpaper collection, 11/07/08: "While visiting the awesome local Austin store Kirk in the 2nd Street District earlier this week, we fell in love with the gorgeous wallpaper we saw displayed on one of their walls. Apartment Therapy review of Kirk, 11/05/08: "We talked about new stores that were opening up in the 2nd Street District here in Austin not too long ago, and now we'd like to make good on our promise on showing you one of them: Kirk. While it may not be the deal lover's dream, it'll definitely be heaven for any design lover. Buying from this store and visiting this store is the ultimate indulgence. Filled with amazing authentic vintage furniture finds and gorgeous yet delightfully quirky contemporary accessories, this is your stop for one-of-a-kind finds for yourself and your home."
Yelp.com review of Kirk, 10/05/08: "Stunningly beautiful and jaw-droppingly expensive Artwork, furniture and home decor objects. Modern sculpture, glasswares and lighting, as well as some awesome mid-century modern pieces, including some by none other than Frank Lloyd Wright. They've also got golden garden gnomes. Pretty dope. Jeff Kirk, the owner seems like a nice guy, and is happy to answer questions about anything in the shop. They also have the most amazing bathroom in the entire state, so be sure to poke your head in."

"Kirk Preview Reception," Austin360.com, 09/07/08: "Will Austinites buy a three-piece set of original Marcel Breuer chairs and side table for $35,000? Jeff Kirk is betting they will. (Actually, as he points out, had they been originals, they would have been $35,000, but the version he’s selling is only $10,000.) Yet he’s not betting the entire store — that would be Kirk Furniture on Guadalupe Street in the AMLI on Second building — Kirk also stocks various smaller pieces of art work, including palm-sized animal sculptures made from Buenos Aires subway tickets, priced at well under $35,000. Austin’s style community flocked to Kirk’s pad for a preview reception, folks including interior-design superstar Joel Mozersky, architect Paul Bielamowicz (I didn’t know Austin’s Page Southerland Page had opened offices in Abu Dhabi, Doha and Kuwait!), Andrew Lopez for Marc English Design, Katha Burk from UT’s design program, Loft owners Kelly and Offir Schwartz … the list goes on. "
"Kirk brings vintage to 2nd St," Austin American-Statesman, 09/02/08: "The Second Street district also is welcoming a new storefront this weekend. Kirk, the brainchild of Austinite Jeff Kirk, is opening it’s doors Saturday. The new home furnishings and accessories store adds vintage flavor to the design-store-laden district and offers investment-grade, 20th-century antiques and decorative arts. Shop revamped and original-condition pieces by designers such as Frank Lloyd Wright and Jean Prouve, while taking in the striking store interior, created by local interior designer Tracey Overbeck Stead and a 15-foot-high, 35-foot-wide back wall mural by Redstart Paint Design."
